چکیده

The problem of adrenal metastases and the need for ipsilateral adrenalectomy during nephrectomy in patients with renal cell carcinoma has not yet been resolved. To study clinical morphological features to identify a group high probability their development, pathological findings case histories 108 who underwent surgery included or resection were retrospectively examined. Characteristics tumors groups bulk formations being cancer comparatively analyzed. When analyzing from benign gland, it was found that most cases they represented by cortical adenomas without signs hormonal activity. histological structure neoplasms often clear mixed−cell adenomas, dark−cell adenoma observed one case. this complained mostly common persistent intermittent rise blood pressure. Patients synchronous are characterized large kidney tumors, local spread. According results, concluded prognostic value terms differential diagnosis there demonstrated only macroscopic intravenous cancer. characteristics glands themselves objective parameters between malignant pathology. Ipsilateral is indicated carcinoma. Key words: metastases, carcinoma, spread

Renal Cell Carcinoma with Double Synchronous Contralateral Adrenal Metastases

A 63-year-old male patient visited our hospital with a right incidental renal tumor, which was found by ultrasonography for the follow-up study of chronic hepatitis B virus infection and diabetes mellitus. Consecutive computed tomography revealed a right renal tumor and two left adrenal tumors. Further systemic imaging study and hormonal examination suggested one right renal cell carcinoma and ...

Duodenal Metastases From Renal Cell Carcinoma Presented With Melena: Review and Case Report

Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) metastasis to duodenum is very rare and only a few case reports are available in the literature. We here reported a patient with solitary duodenal metastasis presented with melena six years after right nephrectomy. The patient underwent upper gastrointestinal endoscopy showing ulcerative mass at the second portion of duodenum and biopsy of this mass was consistent wit...

Evaluation of Immunohistochemical Findings and Clinical Features associated with Local Aggressiveness in Basal Cell Carcinoma

Background & Objective:Basal cell carcinoma (BCC) is classified into BCC1 or low risk (nodular, superficial type) and BCC2 or high risk (micronodular, morpheaform, infiltrative, and basosquamous types) based on clinical behavior. This study attempts to evaluate immunohistochemical (IHC) findings and clinical features associated with local aggressiveness and recurrence ...

Bilateral synchronous adrenal metastases of renal cell carcinoma: A case report and review of the literature

Renal cell carcinomas (RCCs) metastasize to the adrenal glands via various mechanisms, including lymphatic vessel arterial embolism and retrograde venous embolism. The rate of ipsilateral metastasis is 3-5% and the rate of contralateral metastasis is ~0.7%, however, synchronous bilateral adrenal metastases are extremely rare. Therefore, the optimal diagnosis and treatment strategy for this cond...
